The Madinah books (Durus al-Lughah al-Arabiyyah li-Ghayr an-Natiqin biha) were written by Dr. V. Abdur Rahim for the Islamic University of Madinah. They build Arabic up step by step through grammar, entirely in Arabic, and are used worldwide in Islamic schools and for self-study.
Book 1 is where the course begins: simple nominal sentences such as هَذَا بَيْتٌ, right after the Arabic script. It suits complete beginners who can already read the letters. With 289 words it is the smallest volume.
Madinah Arabic Book 1 has 289 vocabulary words across 22 lessons. 179 of them come with a plural form, and 0 are verbs, listed with their past and present tense.

Lesson 11 is a review lesson in the book and introduces no new vocabulary, so there is no separate word list for it.
